Hi, I'm Andreas – founder of Quest2Best.
Below, I’d like to give you a brief insight into the creation of Quest2Best, our goals, and our vision. I’ll also share my journey and the experiences that led me to founding Quest2Best.
Let's start by addressing why you are reading this.
For years, I’ve been reading books and studies, watching countless lectures, and discussing with various friends and mentors topics like modern leadership and personal development. I’ve also spent a lot of time dealing with these subjects in my professional career. From my experience, I’ve realized that there are already so many guides, articles, and books on these topics that it’s easy to lose track.
This is exactly the aim of Quest2Best: to help others navigate the jungle of theories and wisdom on leadership and self-development. With Quest2Best, we want to present theories and models in a simple and understandable way, while offering practical tips for applying them.
I really enjoy talking about these topics with others and, if possible, using my experiences to help others on their journey. I’ve also received a lot of support in my own development from various sponsors and mentors—this is where I’d like to take a moment to thank you all so much for your support along the way. I now try to give back a small part of what I’ve received.
A brief background on my career
After finishing high school, I initially studied economics, but later switched to business law, as I was completely fascinated by the combination of business-related law courses with economic elements like accounting, corporate management, and corporate governance. Once I found my ideal course of study, I completed it with a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
During my studies, I worked in a variety of jobs and companies, which had a strong impact on me. Especially jobs in assembly, manufacturing, and at a gas station taught me humility and gratitude.
Almost right at the start of my professional career, I was given opportunities for development. I took on staff responsibilities in my department, became a deputy team leader, and was early on confronted with leadership and personal development topics. This time was pivotal for much of what has occupied me since and continues to drive me on my journey. It was during this period that I discovered and further developed my passion for leadership, coaching, and working with people.
As mentioned earlier, this ultimately led to me starting this blog, where I hope to provide interesting insights or help you on your journey as a reader. I look forward to receiving many comments and discussions on my posts because, while we often learn best from our own experiences, I can say that philosophizing and debating these topics is equally important and valuable. Plus, it’s simply exciting!
A bit about my personal life
I enjoy sports, so in some of my posts, you may find yourself annoyed by my enthusiasm. I typically work out four times a week and try to jog on at least two additional days.
A few years ago, I also discovered a passion for snooker and now represent my club in association tournaments.
To mentally distance myself from work and everyday stress and to relax, I play the piano and attempt to imitate guitar playing.
